My Dad vs Yours celebrates OIFF best video award

In January 2011, Ottawa director, Luca Furgiele and Parktown Productions filmed a music video for the My Dad vs Yours singles “Happy Wanderer  & Carry the Weight” off their sophomore LP, Little Symphonies. The synopsis of the video deals with a man who hasn’t lost his youthful innocence and is getting fired from his job. As he leaves the office for the last time he hands a note to his former boss that reads “if only you saw things my way”. In the case of this video, this is exactly what happens as the entire office seemingly transforms into their 8-year-old selves who want nothing more than to just be free. 

In August, as the video was announced and awarded best music video at the 2011 Ottawa International Film Festival (OIFF), the crowd roared in approval. For this, My Dad vs Yours would like to announce a thank you show to the filmmakers, crew, and to Ottawa for its support.  

My Dad vs Yours, along with local treasure, Rolf Klausener (The Acorn), and a very special solo performance of Hilotrons by Mike Dubue, will take the stage on Saturday, November 19th, 2011 at:

Saint Brigid’s Centre for the Arts

Doors 8:30pm, $12 advance
